In Dedication - Phillips Furniture was founded by the late Herbert Phillips. He started working part time at Family Furniture while stationed with the Air Force at Robins Air Force Base. After leaving the Air Force in 1960 he began working full time selling furniture with the store. In 1980 he went into a partnership with Family Furniture selling used furniture. Finally in 1983 he opened Phillips Furniture. He quickly gained the respect of all those dealing with him; both private customers and businesses alike for his customer service and his love of people.
He worked tirelessly until his illness and death. Because of his many generous acts to those in need, he will truly be remembered. His family and friends will miss him greatly. His family and staff are determined to continue to keep his tradition of taking care of the needs of others.
